She/her. Tradeswoman, native plant aficionado and general chaotic gardener, shameless nerd for Animorphs and Star Trek, Minneapolis dweller who actually wants to live in a city. Abolish ICE.

This thread is a heartbreaking, enraging, and informative read.
I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

I have nothing to add to this, just want to make sure it's visible.
My commute home from work is littered with abandoned cars. Just sitting there, in the middle of the road. Windows broken out. Lives scooped up and taken away. Just like that.

This is going to end up on my shitlist right next to that photo of the Everlake Apartments, isn't it
Reasons not to repost this:
Pic doesn't have alt text.
There's greenery in the background - so definitely not a recent pic from Minnesota.
There is no source for the claim being made.
Check the profile - this person doesn't live in Minneapolis or MN.
This person doesn't interact on here.

I’m on the scene at Franklin and 1st. A convoy of about a couple dozen ICE/HSI agents broke the entryway into an apartment building at 6am. No warrant presented. Less than 24 hours ago, Tom Homan announced the end of large convoys in Minnesota… Bullshit.

Is there any kind of database for presumed/confirmed ICE abduction victims? I noticed a car that's been parked in the same weird way for at least 24 hours now. If there's a way to notify their family/friends of its location without involving the cops, that would be nice.

It's 10:30pm, are you harassing your representatives?

Left a vm with the Klob telling her to abolish ICE and release detainees and if she wants my vote for governor she had better convince me that she's different from a Republican.

Smith's vm full.

Omar will go down swinging, did not call her.

Beautifully written, brutal piece.

Fuck ICE and everyone who voted for this.

Letter From Minnesota: “If They Take Me and Leave the Children…”
Today is Tuesday, January 27th, 2026. I got gas for the first time this year by myself. The gas station was mostly empty. I drove into the station, heart thudding in my chest. I did everything as f…

Just left a voicemail with Klobuchar telling her to vote against the upcoming ICE bill and also please resign.

Yeah, pretty much where I'm at right now.
Why would we leave? They're the ones that suck.
People worried for my safety asking earnestly if I think I want to move out of Minneapolis.

Hell no.

We stand our ground. Because it doesn’t stop with us. Infection spreads. You cannot run from it.

Oh good, another thing to worry about.

I guess at least the time I got welding-induced pneumonia it was just the regular kind?

Minneapolis house dwellers: shovel out your garage bins in the alley while it's warm! This morning almost all of the bins in my alley were still behind the plow berm, and the poor sanitation workers were pulling individual bags out of them. (They're a lot more dedicated than I am.)

As a former welder (different trade now but still weld sometimes) from Minnesota, this Amber Czech thing is really getting to me... especially since I used to go out of my way to encourage other women to get into the trades.

Fucking awful.

Holy shit the last bit of the green line is a nightmare, I should have left myself way more of a cushion. Currently 20 minutes over the Google Maps estimate.

Great day at the fair yesterday. Had fun with a friend I don't see in person enough. A stranger gave me a coupon for deep fried cheesecake. And, best of all, we got to watch a calf being born, AND the front row of spectators get splashed. Truly a high point of my life.
