My silly hat from Tibet and my favorite dog from Hawaii. We are enjoying the Pacific ocean on my first day of my 65th trip around the sun. Glad he's with me... for a while anyway.

Officially one year older now. I bought myself a new hat, a new mini fridge for the band room (the old one died-- warm beer sucks), and a tiny mixer for doing solo shows... stepping up my game for my journey to 65.

It's just a local special election, but it feels different now. People have fought and died for this right. Now I understand why. This ballot arrived on No Kings Day. That, too, seems significant. I am voting early. Who knows what tomorrow holds?
