We really need to stop focusing on what is "fair" and start focusing on what is just.

At the core of transphobia is the belief that men are inherently superior to women. It's the reason fascists and evangelical fundamentalists embrace it so wholeheartedly.
There's a transmasculine version of this. If someone assigned female can become a man, it means there's nothing so special or powerful about men.
