So apparently, it may turn out that The Wizard of Oz at the Las Vegas Sphere wasn’t entirely made in AI and Google threw the VFX crew under the bus by claiming it was all done by artificial intelligence.

If true, then fucking yikes.

Eleven more libraries will reopen on Sundays, thanks to the leadership of the City Council. They never should've been closed in the first place.

As Mayor, I'll end this absurd budget dance that keeps our beloved libraries in limbo year after year.

A $2 million City Council deal will expand seven-day service to more than 30 branches citywide.

Hey! I made up this guy. He's not real but if I tell you enough about him, I can infect you with an undying love for him. You'll cry about things that happened to him, even though neither him nor those things are real. Can I maybe get some money for telling you this?

Yes. I'm sure I'm on the list. RFK Jr has already called for denying pregnant women their antidepressant medications. Nothing like having a former heroin addict and Adderall sniffing Pedo POTUS making medical determinations. It's planned eugenics on a much larger scale than Hitler ever imagined.

As the walls continue to close in on all sides, things like this must be framed as the direct result of dogmatic adherence to capitalism as an ideology.

Like yes we are fascist. But capitalism and fascism are kissing cousins. While they *can* function independently they also feed into one another.

The problem with saying “history will remember” is that we are deciding right now whether there will be people in the future

We are also deciding right now whether to train people to be historians

Also, once it’s history, it’s too late

Then the Council overrode his veto. The Mayor refused to implement it. Now a court says he has to.

yeah this one is very bad rn. it's not funny or cute or "wow, these guys are wild" that there's a concentration camp in Florida. it's a horror. It's "the concentration camp at Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport," but all major news outlets are going with "Alligator Alcatraz" in quotes.
One of the most frustrating things about this era, they will mock the dumb administration talking points all day but they will not fail to report on them and use the language the administration prefers. It's happening again with the concentration camp in Florida. They refuse to not use the name.
