Found when sorting an old drive. I still, very occasionally, say 'not many badgers in the House of Lords' and this is why:

I've listened to this like 12 times and I can't stop laughing
A male rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in winter plumage.

Ptarmigan is from Gaelic 'tarmachan' meaning "croaker". The p- was added when people mistakenly assumed it was a Greek word.

A bird forever warning people: "A werewolf!" (just in case of werewolves).

I know something’s fucked up, because I’m looking forward to family Thanksgiving karaoke next year.

And this is Batman's Aff His Nut by Robert Florence, which, in my opinion, is easily the greatest Scottish poem ever written about Batman...

Took a time out from cooking for a photo shoot. Little Dark is not impressed.

Val didn’t know this was a One Piece apron when she bought it for me.

Booked our return to Maine’s southern coast for next June. When we went last fall it was the most relaxing trip we’d ever had. Very excited to go back.

Here, for those who thirst for such things, is the classic, pre-Civil War Mint Julep, in all its glory. No whiskey here, only imported goods, and pricey o es at that. Worth it, I believe. Not that it won’t frost properly in air conditioning, so build it out on the verandah if you care for frost.
Stir a heaping barspoon of sugar into .5 oz water. Muddle 5-6 mint leaves, lightly. Fill tall glass with fine-pounded ice. Add 2.5 oz VSOP or XO cognac. Stir. Refill with ice (it will have sunk), add 5 mint sprigs and float .5 oz of Jamaican pot-still rum (I split this). Let frost. Straws. Smile.

I made some damn fine chili dogs tonight. Homemade Texas chili on natural-casing dogs in butter-toasted New England-style buns. This meal brought to you by YouTube and Wegman’s.

HANDY SMURF: Gee, I wonder who the smurf he's talking about.

TRIPPY SMURF (living in a psilocybin mushroom house): holy shit you guys have you noticed we're all *blue*?

I got three free months of SiriusXM from the parking app, so I’ve been listening to Little Steven’s Underground Garage. I like it. Good thing, too, because we booked his cruise for next spring. ‼️

Woke up to get ready for work and did not feel so hot. The longer I was up and around the worse I felt, so I called out. Val called out sick, as well.

You’re not too stodgy. Please don’t fuck with my Martini. Everything else, have at it; whatever; knock yourself e out. But I beg of you to leave me this one little thing that I can rely on.
I can tolerate a lot of variation in my Manhattans, but I've always felt the Martini had a narrower range before it stops being a Martini. This article is filled with things that are way far afield. Are we just back in the 90's -tini suffixication of everything? Or am I just too stodgy?
