The bill to reopen the gov will enable the crucial work of the Library of Congress to continue, but we still need to secure funding for the Institute of Museum and Library Services as well as the National Archives.

Georgia has a “rainy day fund”
(aka accumulated budget surplus, largely from Biden era funding to states) in excess of $14 billion. But per 10/29 AJC, MAGA Gov. Kemp says there is nothing the state can do.
Kemp doesn’t wear a tacky red cap, but make no mistake… he is extreme MAGA.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

WOW: The White House says the president's MAIN PRIORITY is his BALLROOM. SNAP is ending. Subsidies for health care are gong to double and in some instances quadruple plan premiums. The government is shut down. The cost of living is through the roof. And his priority is his ballroom.

Why aren’t we prioritizing helping the people of Alaska, who are the center of attention regarding the allocation of funds? While it’s understandable to be concerned about the money’s distribution, as fellow human beings, we must focus on providing them with the necessary assistance.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.
