To get out ahead of it, yes SINNERS is that good, we won’t be doing the thing where once a movie we all loved gets a bunch of nominations it becomes overrated populist crap, we simply will not be doing that this time.

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners was nominated for a record-setting 16 #Oscars, including Best Picture.

Rolling Stone’s David Fear called the film “a genre-blending blast of blood, sex, and homespun Delta blues.”

The best illustration of where the blues came from I've ever seen is Delroy Lindo in the car in Sinners recounting a lynching and transitioning into a wordless song.

Great performance from a longtime great actor, who worked comedic moments into it as well. Glad to see him getting some recognition.

Sinners got 16 Oscar nominations.

It is one of the best original movies I have seen in a long time.

I hope the Oscars reflects that.

And Delroy Lindo deserves that Oscar. What a brilliant performance.

Trump's Board of Peace is a fascinating lesson in IR theory. Half the signatories so far are wolves, the other half sheep, and all are scoundrels driven by self-interest with no regard for collective goods.

Realists will smile and nod their heads knowingly.

But the hold-outs are significant too.

Can we please protect the children?

I remember being a kid and being told to go back to Africa. And that was before Trump. Kids right now have it so much worse. The cruelty is louder, more public, more sanctioned.

Shelter the little ones. No one deserves this treatment, but especially not them.

Who benefits from both?

Putin.
