The BBC is the biggest thump of soft power the UK has and its reach and influence to the benefit of the country is extraordinary. Destroy it, hugely damage the UK. The same people who helped weaken us over Brexit are seeking to do it again.
Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.

They don’t like it that one Royal kicked another Royal out of the club for being a child molester, the same way they don’t like it that Brazil prosecuted their corrupt president. It shows what is possible.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

You don’t compromise with hostage-takers. You don’t make deals with people who use mass starvation as a legislative tactic.

You’d have to be a fucking fool to trust Republicans on anything. They don’t compromise. They don’t bargain.

These cowards piss me off.

On top of refusing to fully fund SNAP during the shutdown, the Trump regime has:

-Cut $1 billion from USDA programs supporting food banks
-Enacted tariffs that have caused food prices to rise
-Made the largest cut to SNAP in history
-Canceled the annual food security survey

Shameful.

To put this in scale, Elon Musk's salary from Tesla alone could fund the SNAP program for the entire country into 2034.

NEW FROM ME: Texas school boards are increasingly turning to ChatGPT & other AI programs to comply with SB 13, a new state law that requires them to vet school library purchase lists for "indecent" or "profane" content.

Supporters see ChatGPT as a way to help weed out inappropriate content, but critics say AI can include incorrect details and miss valuable context.

Norms & duct tape. That's all the Republic has turned out to be, because the laws & the Constitution do not enforce themselves. There are about 30 people in Washington who can fix this. We should stop giving them free passes all day every day & laser-focus on getting them to do their damn jobs.
It is incredibly difficult to get folks to understand that there are literally 20-30 people in DC who could end all of this tomorrow, & all of them are Republicans in Congress, & no one in the National Conversation seems interested in paying attention to that.
