On the fifth anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, the official plaque honoring the police who defended democracy that day is nowhere to be found.

Today was the legal deadline for the DOJ to submit to Congress a written justification for any documents from the Epstein files that they had redacted or withheld. But it seems unlikely the DOJ met this deadline because it has missed the December 19 deadline for releasing the files themselves.
