Me about to piss off the capitalists even more: I actually think investing money in genAI and all its data centres should be banned until it proves it does not harm the environment (spoiler, it will not) and also proves it is actually useful (spoiler, it is not).

I tried habanero cheddar cheese for the first time this week, and just, wow. I was not prepared for the heat or how much I liked it. I am now a guy with a cheese I think everyone should try. 😅

The CDC has turned off its vaccine search tool.

The vaccines.gov site now gives an error when you enter a valid zip code.

They also removed text saying “Vaccines can help you stay healthy” and added a banner saying the site is being updated.

The U.S. private sector shed more than 13,500 jobs per week on average in October and early November, according to data released Tuesday by the private payroll processing firm ADP, offering one of the few real-time reads on a weakening labor market.
Private Job Losses Sped Up This Month — Here's What To Know.
ADP’s weekly data shows private sector job cuts accelerated — as economists look toward alternative indicators as the federal government has not released labor reports.

The subtext in JD Vance asking for "patience" on the economy: When leaders stop talking about current conditions and jump straight to rosy forecasts, they’re signaling the present isn’t defensible. That’s your cue to scrutinize the numbers, not just the narrative.

Gestapo terror tactics
Dipshit is smashing out a car window with his gun, barrel first. Just rogue, cowboy stiff.

There were two US citizens in the car. They were apprehended and detained for “obstructing” ICE by honking their horn to let people know ICE was in the neighborhood.

Thousands and thousands of people are in this situation; giving up their cases and accepting deportation because they can't bear being in jail any longer.

In many ways, that is a major point of detention.
Don Lupe shared that one detained man who volunteered to be deported due to unbearable conditions had to wait months.

“This is a business and it is all about money,” Don Lupe said. “There are a lot of things that are inhumane. It is more beneficial for [the business] for him to be in prison.”
After 27 years in the U.S., Don Lupe was detained by ICE at his New Jersey workplace. His family and community fought to bring him home. His story shows the quiet, devastating toll these detentions take on families, and the growing rise of raids at NJ bonded warehouses. @documentedny.bsky.social

They are literally firing all the judges they think might grant relief. They just fired a friend of mine a couple hours ago. They have no shame. The bastards want an assembly line for deportations and nothing more; rubber-stamping bootlickers who’ll yes’sir at every new diktat to deny.
Instead of hiring more immigration judges, the Department of Justice just posted an ad for "deportation judges." join.justice.gov

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.
