OLYMPIC HISTORY

CAPTAIN CLUTCH SCORES FOR CANADA

Marie-Philip Poulin has just scored her 19th goal at the Olympics, surpassing Hayley Wickenheiser for the most ever.

MPP is injured. And is clearly in pain. And is still delivering in her 5th Olympics.

Western Australia planning tougher protest laws citing the Bondi Shootings.

Last I checked Bondi was a shooting, not a protest.

All BS to stomp out climate and anti genocide actions.

On February 15, 1965, Canada adopted the iconic red maple leaf for its flag. 61 years later, now more than ever, it is still a symbol of our unity and strength as a nation.

Happy 🇨🇦 #FlagDay!

I will not get into the details here other than to say "hewers of wood and drawers of water" is a biblical euphemism for forced servitude (see book of Joshua) and there simply has to be a better way of saying what the Globe is trying to say.
Globe editorial: In defence of hewers of wood and drawers of water
The natural resources sector is an enormous natural advantage for the Canadian economy, not a defect to be remedied through subsidies and tariffs for manufacturing

As a child protection professional, I can tell you the death penalty is NOT an awesome solution to child sexual abuse. Most children are abused by family members; they will not report if their family members will die as a result.

Exactly why there needs to be no contact between gambling companies and athletes
After winning the 3-Point Contest, Damian Lillard had jokes for Giannis Antetokounmpo 😂

Antetokounmpo recently partnered with Kalshi, a prediction market company.

To give you an idea of how deranged the UK has become about gender stuff, here's Enid Blyton - the absolute avatar of classic English conservatism and a huge fan of racist "gollywogs" - casually describing a gender non-conforming kid in the 1940s and having their friends be totally cool with it.
