So Ms Maxwell states that there is no truth to the stories about Andrew Windsor and his connection to Epstein. So why did he pay £12m to hush up nothing?

I like Bluesky. OK, it's not as comprehesive as pre-Musk Twitter, but give it time. However, what's with all the pictures of cats?

It looks like the Govt. won't pay Teachers and NHS staff the full percentage recommended by the Pay Review bodies but they are prepared to increase the Sovereign Grant, paid to the Royals, by £45.8m.

A quick message to Reform UK concerning the election material being delivered to my home. It's certainly softer than the stuff the Tories send but you're going to have to try much harder to rival Andrex Quilted.

If the UK's short of a few million, why not claim back the £50m that Charles and William Windsor take from the Duchies of Lanacaster and Cornwall, both of which are state owned. It's our money, not theirs, and they don't even pay proper taxes on it. #takeitback

Had totally forgotten about it until I read Sue's post. Why exactly are we still paying for Oak Academy?
Just seeing stories about the DfE and potential budget cuts to infant meals. The DfE funds Oak to the tune of £14 million a year. Genuine question - do people use it to any great extent? I never see anything posted about it these days.

Here's an idea. When you get Reform election mail, write "f**k off" on in it and send it back to the promoter's address, without a stamp.

How is this justifiable AND how the hell are they getting away with it??
Exclusive: Our annual executive pay investigation has this year included 1,800 trusts, making it probably the largest ever analysis

More than 60 trusts had leaders paid at least £200,000 last year - and here are the best paid 🔽

Can someone please tell me why teachers cleaning children's teeth is being heralded as a new thing?? My school has been doing it for a decade. Spend the money on NHS dentists. That is what is desperately needed in our Exeter school community.

This is Winston Churchill visiting the White House during World War II.

Funny how he isn’t wearing a suit either. Almost like he was a wartime leader defending his country from being slaughtered and wiped out by an authoritarian aggressor.

I'm all for a properly funded, fit for purpose, armed foces but why do they have so many bands? There are dozens of them. There must be hundreds of forces personnel whose primary task is to play an instrument. Surely all they need is a few bands and the means to transport them to functions.

May I suggest that, if King Charles wants a £42m statue of his late Mother, he pays for it from the millions he saved by not paying Inheritance Tax when she died, instead of expecting the cash strapped public to cough up for it.
