I can confirm the PBS Passport is a very good deal for $5/month or $2.50/month if you do yearly.

Thousands of hours of top notch content. NOVA is great. The new Ken Burns doc on Leonardo da Vinci is excellent.

This was really interesting and funny. I learned a lot!
Wrote about arguably my favorite topic in all of sports: Jerry Jones spending $1.2 billion on a stadium built at the exact orientation so the sun shines directly into players eyes during the months when the Cowboys play football:

Per an earlier thread about little-read books: I enjoyed “The Farmer’s Lawyer: The North Dakota Nine and the fight to save the family farm”.

It goes deep into the causes of the 1980’s Farm Crisis and how the Federal Government refused to aid farmers as in the 1930’s, preferring foreclosure.

TIL learned that $2 eggplant starts planted in July can deliver fruit before frost in Iowa. Probably Listada De Gandia (variegated) and some variety of Asian eggplant. (I had so little faith I didn’t take notes)
