Put this together to help bike fans find their favourite teams, riders and writers on Bluesky. Not many out there so far, in fact I've not found a single rider on here, but the community's growing fast. Let me know if there's anyone I should add

This skewers the red herring of an argument that charging fans to spectate is an answer to bike racing’s issues

Apart from L’Equipe who probably have a duty to do so, I don’t know why anyone reports on the Saitama criterium and other similar events that are the WWE of bike races

Everything that @barneyronay.bsky.social says here applies equally to cycling. The Israel team has been the focus of widescale protests that have undermined it while UAE Team Emirates have collected almost every prize worth having with barely a hint of criticism or scrutiny
Silence over Sudan: why do Manchester City’s owners get away with so much?
Two midweek matches in England had a backdrop of war and geopolitics, but only one drew large protests

When we look at this massacre and many more perpetrated by the RSF, let's be clear who funds, equips & sustains them. It's the UAE. Yes, the same UAE that might own your football club, fly you on your holidays, invests in our national infrastructure. If boycotts work, we should be boycotting now.
“Individuals on the ground sent a message that reached us Monday morning that 1,200 were dead,” Nathaniel Raymond, the lab’s executive director, said. “By that evening, they said 10,000. By Tuesday, we couldn’t reach them anymore. We assume our ground contacts are dead.”
Yale lab reports mass killings in Sudan, calls for student activism
The Humanitarian Research Lab was told this week that over 10,000 people in Sudan were killed within three days.

Rainbow colours over Les Angles this lunchtime. I’m not sure which way the Tour de France is coming up here but I’ve ridden from the Quillane pass and it’s easy, big ring even for me. Great the race is coming to the Capcir as it’s a stunning place to ride, so many quiet roads

Another day in the Pyrénées. 3 of us decided to chip off work & avoid the rain in Toulouse

Another route ticked off from @petercossins.bsky.social Book. Today Ariege, from St Girons over Portet d’Aspet but we added Col de Menté for some extra leg pain. Recovery pints in Aspet to fuel the last 35km.

So the Nazis presented themselves as the solution to a problem they intentionally created
