Wish I knew what brand of paint this was near the top of the Col d’Agnes, could do with some of the outside of our house

Rainbow colours over Les Angles this lunchtime. I’m not sure which way the Tour de France is coming up here but I’ve ridden from the Quillane pass and it’s easy, big ring even for me. Great the race is coming to the Capcir as it’s a stunning place to ride, so many quiet roads

Lunch at an Occitanie service station. Beats the hell out of Membury or Michaelwood

The Salvador Dalí museum that's the backdrop to the Vuelta TTT start is extraordinary. Don't miss it if you're in Catalunya

This is my view of the Pyrenees this morning about 80k east of Superbagneres. I should be able to see mountains across the valley but rain and mist are cloaking them and I suspect we’re not going to see much of the stunning backdrop to today’s stage ☹️

Bryan Coquard close to tears after the stage as he tried tp explain what happened in the crash that resulted in Philipsen's abandon. Thinks his front wheel was clipped by Milan's bike as the Italian launched his sprint

Some view from the top of the Port de Pailhères today. I didn’t realise that you could just about make out the Ventoux, more than 200k away!!

I can the Pic de Midi, 100k away, although this pic doesn’t do it justice

Friday morning dog walk along a ridge looking across to Mont Valier (flat summit) and other peaks on the border with Spain

The dog is right under my feet this afternoon. We’ve tried going for a walk twice but the local hunters are out and he’s terrified by the noise of guns firing, even in the distance.
