I will be startled every time by the shocking accuracy of the bidets here in Japan.

And I'm going to miss them like crazy when I go home!

The undercarriage is so clean she sparkles! ✨😂

My god this.

Give the proles something to hate to distract from the sickening behavior of the elite.

For @teenvogue.com I wrote about the death of trans athlete Lia Smith and how trans youth kind themselves with central pillars of their lives being constantly ripped away from them because of politics. www.teenvogue.com/story/politi...

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

Dems, this is not complicated.

People value authentic values and can sense them.

Stand for something!

Kamala didn't lose by failing to sufficiently woo the right, she lost by not turning out her own fucking voters through failing to articulate a meaningfully different vision from Biden.
Great @gbbranstetter.bsky.social read on how throwing trans people under the bus is not a winning political strategy and in fact the opposite is true. Democrats have an opportunity here to not be craven cowards succumbing to transphobic messaging.
Democrats Can’t Blame Trans People for Their Own Failures
Despite the attempts by so many in the party's establishment to paint trans rights as a toxic issue, transphobia was soundly rejected across the country this week.

I ❤️ David Lynch
I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

"An AI controlled array of semi autonomous interconnected fragile and continuously adjusting motorized blinds could manage the overheating problem in our house.

... Or, we could stop lighting tar on fire and shoving it in the air conditioning unit."
This is insane. 🤦‍♂️

Why do tech giants like Elon Musk and Bill Gates keep on saying such dumb things about climate change?

They have access to the best possible experts, who could actually teach them something, if they would only ask and listen…

Heartbroken for everyone trans in the US for so many reasons, but today in particular for the supreme court shadow docket stay on gender markers.

Passports are intended to enable *safe* travel of a nation's citizens. How the fuck does this preserve the safety or dignity of someone who is trans?

It makes me seethe to think about women experiencing workplace harassment reading this shit In a supposedly reputable paper.

Or women, like my mother, who experienced the full force of the "un-ruined" workplace in the 80s and 90s where harassment was acceptable, rampant and inescapable.
I thought my opinion of the NYT couldn't get any lower.

This rag needs to be situated amongst its appropriate peers: the Enquirer, Globe, Star ...

When I see a reporter list the Times in their CV these days their credibility starts below ground level and they have to earn their way out.

my single favorite joke in seven seasons of “Deep Space Nine” is when Kira storms out of Sisko’s office in a rage because she found the Cardassians’ dossier on her activities with the Shakaar cell in which Gul Dukat had labeled her a “minor” terrorist

I laugh every time
could you imagine planning and executing a Louvre caper only to have some asshole in the paper describe you as a “minor” social media star
i am so ready for the eight-part docuseries about all of this

dissatisfied by the New York Times coverage of Zohran Mamdani?

great news! I talked to the guy Thursday about his campaign’s success at bringing community together beyond this election, and contextualized how it’s potentially shifted youth engagement with politics by simply listening @teenvogue.com
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”
