3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.

2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

Alright, problems for another day. Need to integrate the landscape with bullet for proper raycasting (so the trees are actually on the surface), the instancing is broken (it's meant to be 20x20 trees) and so is the lighting (they should all be lit the same, obviously aren't).

It was surprisingly difficult to create a truly low poly #spaceship in #blender that meets my strict visual demands of it looking like an FMV from a fictional game between the years 1993 and 1995, but I think this mocked-up VHS found footage does the job and is really cool!

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

#devtober Day 31: Last day of Devtober, deep in engine internals. Adding support for different collision shapes: box, cylinder, sphere, convex hull. Something currently very wrong with the convex hull rendering.
