Comedy in the UK in the 1990s was fast-evolving ("the new rock n' roll", comedians playing arenas/stadiums, etc), An eco system of magazines grew up around it (I briefly wrote for one latecomer in the early 00s that only lasted a few issues). Prof Neil's look at the more timely mags is a great read.
Morning! Now live: my review & analysis of the history of the British comedy magazine (i.e., magazines about comedy)-from Cabaret News (short-lived), Comedy News (short-lived) and The Heckler (short-lived) to Deadpan (short-lived) and Comedy Review (short-lived) www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

Unthinkingly made myself a 2pm coffee with the strong espresso instead of the decaf, so if anyone wants to chat at 3am GMT, I'll be unblinkingly staring at the ceiling

Get privileged airport lounge access because of work. The main bit is noisy with families, business calls etc, fair enough. The ‘Quiet Section’ is where I head but people there make sneaky phone calls that are MORE annoying unless I act like a dick and say something. Maybe I’m the problem.

Because I have the memory of a ditzy amoeba, I totally forgot that I'd ordered this collection of photos by @mariegardiner.bsky.social - it came in the post today and it's such a beautifully haunting set of landscapes, crumbling cottages and rural ephemera. Congrats, Marie, it's a great zine.
