A huge fan of the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, UConn BB, Bruins. First person to create a webpage focused on a NFL team’s salary cap. Consider it a coincidence and not a correlation the Pats’ success since my coverage of their salary cap started in 2001.

(1/2) Ben Brown's extension decreases my Patriots salary cap space number by $366,666 to $48,222,360. It increased my cash spending total by $1.1M.
Based on what has happened this year when other practice squad players have been promoted to the 53-man roster it seems a safe bet to project Kobee Minor has been signed through at least the 2026 season. Therefore, Minor has become the 51st Patriot signed for the 2026 season.

This is the eighth time this season the Patriots have promoted a player from its practice squad to its 53-man roster.

The Patriots defense has averaged playing 61 snaps a game this season. If they play 61 snaps against the Dolphins on Sunday Carlton Davis needs to play at least eleven snaps in order to earn his $500K 87% playtime incentive.

If the Patriots played a total of 72 snaps on defense Sunday AND Carlton Davis does not play a snap

he will still achieve his NLTBE 85% playing-time incentive earning him $500K.

The most snaps the Pats defense have played this season is 70

NLTBE = Not Likely to be Earned
