This is an amazing and, in my experience, almost entirely unappreciated benefit of electric vehicles that have vehicle-to-load or -home capabilities. (Most have V2L but few have V2H today.) EV companies should cultivate this capability and hit it much harder in their advertising.
We recently had a ~30hour outage, neighbours were stunned that we even ran the dishwasher powered from the car.

According to the latest CERES data just released yesterday for October, 2025, the current rate of planetary heating is about 10.28 Hiroshimas per second.

This equals 37,000 Hiroshimas per hour, 890,000 per day, and about 324 million Hiroshimas in planetary heating over the last year.

Interesting.
I think thats fairly unsmbiguously an attack on Erich Von Daniken.
I disagreed with Erich on certain matters,
but his Ancient Egypt work was a vital contribution to topic covered in millenia of dust, debris and mis-direction.
Is it his pyramid theories that u object to?
All of this.

I know a lot of people think Ancient Aliens is harmless fun. It certainly can be fun (I say this as a fan of Weekly World News!) but it has definitely not been harmless.
Few individuals have had such a colossal & deleterious impact on the cultural psyche as the recently-departed Erich von Däniken. While he was not alone in fusing aliens into our conception of the distant human past, he was perhaps the most successful & the most harmful in doing so.

Indonesia’s deforestation is accelerating again. Losses in 2025 were set to match 2024 — the worst since 2019 — as massive projects like the Merauke Food Estate clear millions of hectares.

With Indonesia now the world’s 6th-largest emitter, EU scrutiny of palm oil and other exports is mounting.

Given the new US Govt "bonfire of Oil restrictions" fom Feb 2025 will take some time to fully rocket oil production,
we can expect a FAR higher rise, pehaps 10% , in 2026 for US emissions.
The approach of HELL becomes FASTER and FASTER.

Its high attainment compared to low offers of FRS places is the most unfair on the graph 😟

Not for nothing is it said that FRS stands for “Friends of the Right Sort.” 🧪

Good but Doctor Google may not be such a perfect idea for the scientifically, particularly medically, unqualified majority.
Still, Chat GPT is a lot better than having no information at all.
I had a significant medical issue over Christmas when local GP was unavailable, and couldn’t face braving A&E, so, out of desperation, asked ChatGPT. After asking a few questions, it came up with a plausible hypothesis, and a way to resolve it using an OTC supplement. It was right.

Tho on 1st 8 days, a fast rise as u said today,

theremay not be much of fall in World temp
in first half of year 2026,
but WILL be a GIANT rise in temp in 2nd half of 2026
Because of La Nina and the mid-year dip in 2025, the Climate Casino expects the 365-day running average to fall for the first part of this year, possibly getting as low as 1.40°C by July before rebounding sharply with the onset of the expected El Nino.

Current 365-day = 1.47°C.
