I don't want to teach my kids about money (besides the math involved maybe?) but I'd rather they learn a bartering system. They're learning this through Facebook buy nothing communities. They have been complicit in shoplifting. They will be little anarchists. We will forage for food.

I don't actually mind that my kids watch tv in general. Kids programing can be beneficial and there are lots of options.
What I'm starting to hate is how it's teaching them about capitalism - ads for toys and products they otherwise wouldn't know or have any want or use for.
It kills imagination.

The International Olympic Committee is set to ban trans and intersex women from competition. This is despite the fact that for 20 years, the IOC has allowed trans athletes to compete and only 1 has ever competed and none have ever won a medal.

I'm surprised at the number of people commenting who clearly have never worked at a corporate store like target, or as front of house staff in a restaurant or food service. Basically you smile and kiss the customer's ass or you lose your job/will not move up.
