Sure wish downtown churches (mine included) would advocate for better transit on weekends so that that would be a reasonable option for folks coming to church.
I have been relatively quiet on here this week, because my office has been dealing with a barrage of email from people who attend a particular church, upset about the addition of paid parking on Saturdays nearby. BTW: there 525 free parking spots within the 400m zone (and 202 spots within 200m).

It's been 25 years since One-Big-Ottawa was imposed on us. The world has finally taken note: this thing doesn't really work for urban or rural residents. I wrote about why and what's next.

No one can say we don’t know how to prevent road deaths anymore. Lower speeds. Modern pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. Public transit that gets people out of cars. That’s it. The longer we resist the more families will be shattered by a preventable death. #visionzero yle.fi/a/74-20174831

Ottawa’s core is struggling. This Globe’s editorial takes note and makes a no longer radical recommendation to Doug Ford: break it up.

My reading project for the year is Robert Caro’s The Power Broker. Lots of lessons for city planning; this one seems particularly relevant for #Ottawa. Raising fares discourages people from taking transit. #otttransit #octranspo #autowa #RobertMoses #RobertCaro

Is this the city you want? We can "master plan" all we want, but we need actual action.

Walked south on Bank St from Somerset to Second Ave during rush hour, because no bus came during that time. Not great, @octranspo.com. #ottawa #otttransit

#OCTranspo I know it has been a rough week but if you are going to detour and bypass two regular stops you need to tell people. Nothing on your website or the Transit app re: route 56. ☹️
