That's not the way it works. Again, it's a political move with midterms not based on any sort of financial or legal reality.

Just listened to an incredibly hostile interview of Stephen Kinnock on the Today programme.

Nick Robinson openly accusing Labour of trying to avoid losses in upcoming local elections by postponing them until after the reorganisation next year.

The BBC was NEVER this hostile to the Tories.

But she’s a smart woman & we know that the rich & powerful in the USA all hate women, particularly smart ones, and will spend fortunes to prevent her realising her ambition.

Sorry folks, it’s Gilead times now.
from the perspective of someone who might want to be president, the best time to run for the white house is now, not later. so if AOC is thinking about it — if the white house is her ambition — then her best bet is to throw her hat in the ring
You Know What? Maybe the Time Is Right for an AOC Presidential Bid
She’s only 36, and there’s a good argument that she should run for Senate and bide her time. But she also could be a formidable White House candidate.

Truss is insane.

Surely, SURELY, Kylie & Eve only have to ask themselves how Brexit has turned out in comparison to the promises Farage made.

And ask themselves about his relationship with Trump & the performance of the Reform led councils.

It will destroy our way of life if Reform win a GE.
🧵In today’s Times @joshglancy.bsky.social has a brilliant write up of our focus groups he sat in on. Definitely read it in full! But I want to focus on two voters: Kylie & Eve I think have outsized importance in explaining today’s politics

Oh dear, the fag ash Fuhrer and his band of MAGA emulating dimwit councillors won’t like this.

“Of course pubs are the backbone of Britain, but not this sort of woke pub” I can hear them cry

Here’s Reform UK Kent’s Councillor David Wimble threatening to pull funding for the Turner Contemporary in Margate.

Wonder what Tracey Emin would make of that.

It’s surprising Wimble is talking about funding, bearing in mind he’s know for the quote “numbers have never been my thing”.

I think he means that people from every country in the world comes to get married at the NYC Marriage Bureau…. not everyone in the world !!
Everyone in the world comes to get married at the NYC Marriage Bureau. Last week, the Mayor stopped by to officiate a few of those ceremonies.

Thank you to all the couples who shared their joy with us. Happy Valentine's Day, New York.

This guy raped little girls.

The stench around this is putrid.

I am starting to wonder if all rich & powerful men who operate in this international circle use and abuse women routinely & consider it normal.

Tell the fucker to go live in Afghanistan it should suit him fine.
And just like that, Gilead was no longer dystopian fiction.

“Just like Hitler imprisoned Gypsies, Jews, communists, you know, all of his political rivals, we have to do the same thing with women… So they go to the gulag first. They go to the breeding gulags.”

There are so many fucked up things with the current administration that it's hard to focus on one but this recent move is basically a death sentence for the planet. I've been involved with more boots on the ground actions over the years than I can count and this really bums me out.
EPA reverses long-standing climate change finding, stripping its own ability to regulate emissions
The agency announced it is repealing its 2009 conclusion that greenhouse gases warm the Earth and endanger human health and well-being.

Do Reform supporters know what a dictionary is?
🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage says Jim Ratcliffe was "in the dictionary's definition correct" to use colonisation to describe mass immigration

Cambridge Dictionary Definition: the act or process of sending people to live in and GOVERN another country

How are migrants governing our country Nigel?

Handmaids Tale stuff here.
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”

That one ignorant & greedy man has the power to condemn the planet to accelerated climate disaster is just unthinkable.

I only hope he lives long enough to suffer Mar-a-Lago irreparably inundated.

In a normal government, this results in the resignation of multiple cabinet officials (Transportation, Defense, and Homeland Security), and the closure or (at least!) radical reorg of the cartoonishly incompetent agency at the center of it: CBP.

This is a loud warning klaxon that many Reform voting taxpayers won’t care a jot about because they’ve never been anywhere near a University.
Nothing says “we’re not fascist” like threatening to defund organisations that disagree with you.

I despair. Redwood is a clot.
One of the maddest elements of Brexit - and there are *many* - is the rewards that continue to be lavished on the blithering idiots who sold it & continue to be proved wrong about everything every day…
Ex Tory MP John Redwood has been made a peer, as Lord Redwood on 31 January, and was formally introduced in the Lords on Tuesday

Textbook. If you are surprised, it is because this shit usually, at least not in the last 150 years, does not happen in the US. And the past is mild in comparison
