In the first 6 months of the year, companies with revenues of $1 billion + filed for bankruptcy. The highest figure since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

At least 717 large companies filed for bankruptcy, levels not seen since the Great Recession.

Reasons cited: inflation, interest rates and the Trump tariffs which increased costs.

Small businesses, farmers, & consumers are also filing bankruptcy at a record pace.

One thing I changed last month, instead of coming across the news even by mistake while in bed with my phone, I've gone back to reading. 4 books later, good move.

While Ben Shapiro thinks it's stupid, other's don't. As I get ready for a camping trip, guess who doesn't think it's stupid? The endless people at the campground living in their RV traveling the U.S. Which is cool!

By the way, he probably played PowerBall last week & would have retired if he won.
Ben is basically a libertarian and I can’t agree that retirement itself is stupid.

But he’s right that 65 is too young to get social security. We can’t afford it anymore.

Medicare though needs a different solution. Raising the retirement age won’t fix why it’s expensive.

And that's why when a neighbor moved out and left Mari behind, we immediately adopted him. He would go up to any big dog walking, St. Bernard, Golden Retriever, rub up against them and roll around on the ground.

Forgetting privacy issues for a second, they are destroying the environment. Not only have data centers contributed to an increase in utility bills, they are literally drying up water wells!
Bernie Sanders: "We need to be thinking seriously about a moratorium on data centers. You gotta slow this process down. It's not good enough for the oligarchs to tell us 'you adapt.' Are they gonna guarantee healthcare to all people? What are they gonna do when there are no jobs? Make housing free?"
