Oldest and youngest cat in my house at present. Shadow (black) is 19 or 20, and Luna (green eyes), may be 5, based on the humane society's guess.

Went to see an old friend this afternoon! All that remains of Weatherby's Falcon Works in Hanley.
There's a tragic beauty in this intricately constructed but monstrous structure; a downdraught oven now naked and bereft of its hovel casing. Each strewn brick a piece of Stoke-On-Trent history.

"I sit for two or three hours and then in 15 minutes I can do a painting, but that's part of it.
You have to get ready and decide to jump up and do it; you build yourself up psychologically, and so painting has no time for brush."

My seascapes look like boiling cauldrons, as there is no point in being accurate. It’s boring, laborious work, and says nothing other than here this is. Like writing an instruction manual as opposed to a poem.

A small holiday project: working on this alcove in the living room. My husband is going to make a built-in for the record player. We filled in sheetrock, and I made a cornice shelf, mudded, painted, and attached some junk to the ceiling to screen a pvc pipe from the upstairs bath, lol.

Anybody else need a breather this morning? Here are some of my beautiful sheep, enjoying breakfast in the snow.

That's Peter in the back, with Mimi and her half-sister, Mountain, looking up towards me.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

A dog's paw is as good as his word.
Saw this dog on walks on holiday. He always rushed to the wall with this same expression!
'Take my paw'! How could i resist?!

Interrupt the doomscrolling for a minute? Spinning helps me calm down. Hard to believe someone as squishy-looking as I can contain as much rage as I do, but that's 2026 for you.

Good morning, Primrose @craftyprimrose.bsky.social & thank you, as always. This one certainly does have a "restful" air about it & it might possibly qualify as being "peaceful". This is "Poole Harbour" by Elwin Hawthorne from 1934. #ElwinHawthorne #Poole #Dorset #EastLondonGRoup #SundayMorning
