Time to turn the tables on the modern day money-changers in the gambling industry.
Which is why we're going to use police powers to stop a person’s welfare payment before any court process. Just like Jesus would have wanted.
At the Christian prayer breakfast this week, Attorney-General Michelle Rowland said that the “principles and values that Jesus lived by underpin the role of Australia’s first law officer” and claimed that “our values and faith” guide lawmakers. Read more: rationalist.com.au/australias-a...

Australia’s low economic growth speed limit may already be broken
Economists pushed back on RBA governor Michele Bullock’s claim that inflation was driven by ‘temporary’ factors, saying there was more to it than that.

Relatively hawkish comments by RBA Gov Bullock leave much riding on Sep qtr trimmed mean infl:
+0.6%q would be in line w RBA forecasts & imply a cut
+0.7% would be close enough to allow a cut
+0.8% would leave it a v close call
+0.9% would be a “material miss” & likely see a hold

‘price rises had been particularly strong in the services sector, including health, education and insurance businesses’
Nothing new: Services inflation has been higher than goods inflation for years.
These prices are all influenced by govt: gap fees in health, taxes on insurance.
