Kirk was eaten by the very tiger that he was riding to fame and fortune. I think streamers and influencers should think long and hard about what they promote because the most shocking thing to me about Kirk getting shot is that it didn't happen sooner.

Destruction of a Russian bridge in occupied territory, used by Russians for their logistics. The bridge, pre-mined in advance, was blown up by fiber-guided FPV drones of the 58th Motorized Brigade together with two supporting units.

I am wondering, since Kaliningrad is now within range of Ukrainian cruise missiles, do you think the Poles or Lithuanians would be upset if the Ukrainians send one or two flying over the Suwałki Gap?

After 5 days of burning, it appears that the fire at the Novoshakhtinsk refinery has been contained. The damage, however, is already done. The storage facility in the northwestern part of the refinery has been destroyed. It is likely that the heat destroyed far more of the facility.

By threatening this, all Hungary is doing is making itself more unreliable for anything in Europe, meaning that Europe will focus more on Romania and Poland to supply Ukraine with energy and aid, whilst Hungary becomes a sort of third-world swamp in the middle of Europe.
Hungarian FM Szijjártó once again threatened Ukraine with a possible cutoff of electricity supplies, citing recent Ukrainian strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline. He claimed Hungary provides 30–40% of Ukraine’s electricity imports and warned Budapest could “create difficulties” if Kyiv continues.

Russia has thrown away 2000 men per day throughout the last 3 months. That's why the Russian casualties suddenly jumped from 600 000 to 800 000 in that short time. Russia can probably not sustain this for much longer.

I have learned that RCAF CC-150 Polaris #15001 retires today. This is the aircraft that used to carry the Prime Minister of Canada and other VIPs. It has been replaced by a CC-330 Husky in the same paint. Presenting some of my favourite images of this aircraft over the years.

The stuff coming out of Syria is nuts. Secret underground prisons are found in large tunnel complexes built under hospitals, schools, universities, parks, and even housing blocks, all across Damascus. There is an entire city of underground prisons with thousands, possible tens of thousands in them.

I don't know why the YouTube algorithm decided all of a sudden to recommend me this. Probably because I watch so many videos on Ukraine. But either way, it helps illustrate just how gullible we in the West all were. Those were russian soldiers, yet we called them "Rebels".

Looks like ships Belos (SE) and Turva (FI) are investigating not only broken comms cable C-Lion 1 but also Nordstream at the moment.
During the day they have been stationary over both the pipelines and the cable. Those are right next to each other. Curly line = cable.

Same. It's very frustrating. I know people who blame the entire Syrian civil war, including Assad's war crimes, entirely on the United States, the CIA, or even the French. It's remarkable how effective russian propaganda was at whitewashing Assad and themselves.
It's insane how often I interact with people IRL who are otherwise normal and well adjusted but if I mention Syria or Ukraine they start regurgitating a sanitized version of talking points pulled directly from RT and the constellation of Russian state media ops
