For Arc Raiders to ride the wave of human sociability all the way to the bank, while also being so contemptuous of the thing that makes us social animals in its own workflow demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity that I find impossible to ignore.

Under new head of Paramount David Ellison, the studio has drawn up a list of actors who opposed the Gaza genocide and will not allow them to appear in its films and TV shows.

Does this sound familiar?

Also, "Ellison is reportedly aiming to take over Warner Bros. next."

It sure looks like the likes of Javier Bardem, Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, and Mark Ruffalo won’t be making movies for Paramount in the foreseeable future.

We finished "The Legend of ShenLi" today and it was a really fun show - it has the epic xianxia action sequences and melodrama that you expect from this type of CDrama, but what made it stand out is the thread of comedy throughout - I like a show that knows when it's silly and leans in.

I'm really trying to enjoy Kamen Rider Zero-One but wow did the "let AI be people" angle not age well 😭

It's something I've noticed in my own storytelling as well, in a pre-AI world the story beat of using AI to deconstruct what it means to be human was one of my favorites. Now it feels...wrong.

I am forever going to be looking for the Eternal Champion in every story I see from now on

Shadow is totally an Elric fursona, too
