As an American, I definitely feel gaslit about how the rest of the functions. I'm actively deconstructing what I've been taught but I think knowing how governments attempt to reign in the speech of their residents are important flags to watch.

There are a lot of layers to the TikTok sale and the upwards of 150% surge of uninstalls due to algorithm glitches is just the headline. It hadn't occurred to me that having a facial difference would get in the way of facial recognition (of course it does) but think about the 1000s of people this impacts.
