Retro & Indie video games, dragons, plants, SPACE, greyhounds, and more. Probably a few grumbles about the state of the industry and whatever Aus politics is up to.

Very funny to compare this to the Valve hardware announcement video, and think back to the Amazon guy on LinkedIn who was like, “why can’t we compete with Valve??? It is a mystery!!!”

My cousin is a big Multiplayer FPS fan and has been wanting to get back into Counter Strike Go (now CS:2).

Topic came up while talking about Valve's latest hardware, and I finally got the details of his laptop out of him. Him being longer scared about aps or the settings menu...

I'm all for preservation, but...

Look, there's likely far better titles to try to revive than the utter mess and failure that was Concord.

Spotify is crashing HARD because of the boycott. Their stock dropped 11% in value over the last month. Let’s keep this going!

Tell everyone you know to boycott Spotify. There are plenty of alternatives that don’t run ICE advertisements and screw over artists.

We made it easy at boycottspotify.com.

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

I have spent the last 9 hours of the day playing XCOM:EW

...Yeah, I put it on Easy mode because life is shit right now and I got destroyed for helping out France on the last run.

I was obviously having a lot of fun with it. But I did forget to cook lunch and dinner. huh.

Yes, I will buy Half-Life 3 when it releases next week. And/Or the cleaned up Episode 3 on the older engine.

Maybe not right away. I don't have the time to play a lot lately.

I had no idea that Analog, Asimov's, and MoF&SF had come under new ownership that is issuing predatory contracts to writers, including rights grabs for producing things like toys based on stories (seriously!) and putting the writer in the hot seat for out-of-court settlements they arbitrarily make.

That's not HL3. I guess all those speculating were wrong once again! :P
Valve has announced the Steam Machine, a console-like PC gaming device, as well as a new Steam Controller, slated for early 2026.

Valve suggests the Steam Machine is six times more powerful than the Steam Deck.

"It has the power of an entry-level PC, and will be priced similarly," they said.
