Retro & Indie video games, dragons, plants, SPACE, greyhounds, and more. Probably a few grumbles about the state of the industry and whatever Aus politics is up to.

Aro/Ace, Australian.
That little change in bindings was all it was that was giving me errors. A tiny little thing, gave me so much grief.

Anyway, now to find the time to build a few proof-of-concept demos. Like... I dunno, hooking into the printer to read toner levels or something. Just to see if I can do so.

If your 'Cargo.toml ' is just grabbing the latest, and is not fixed, check what v by running: cargo --version

let mut wind = Window::new(100, 100, 640, 320, "Blank Window");

1.5
let mut wind = Window::default()
.with_pos(100, 100)
.with_size(640, 320)
.with_label("Blank Window");

Can you contact the friend directly and speak to them? Or contact over different platform(s)?

Seen variations on this over the years. Best to assume it is a scam; 999/1000 times it will be.

DM'd you a link.

None of us were told anything about this speaker in advance. We should have been.

None of us were told this was only half the course. We should have been. /And/ it felt like an intro convo stretched to 4 hours.

Coincidence! Half our school is shut down for decontamination and removal of the sand. I'll have screaming little kids outside my office tomorrow.

But this event was pre-planned.

I've re-read their mission statement, and I think I'm further behind than I was this morning.

Corp speak to us plebs does not work.

I have CS2, but have never loaded it up. Planned to at one point, but then my physical and mental health took a large dive.

Talking someone through adjusting a game's settings as I did only worked because I've been playing the damn things for several decades. The basics don't change much.

Last time he ran it he said it ran a bit choppy. Today it still ran a bit choppy.

Until I talked him through changing some video settings to allow it to run, and now he has it running smoothly.
If he can stay off the smokes (and worse) for a year he'll have the savings for a nice new rig.

It'd make an interesting circle on the Venn diagram.

Oh! Sony's already being a bit shit and issuing DMCA takedowns.

Why. Why do you care, Sony. You already killed this thing. Do you want us to continue to meme you into Morbin Time this game?

Happy Birthday.

I've only fragments of games I made with Klik'n'Play and Turbo Pascal back in the 90s. Kinda wish I kept better care of the floppy disks I had them all on.
One day I gotta sit down and learn Godot properly and remake them in all their terribleness.
