Today I diced 3 pounds of onions for soup while listening to a comedy podcast. Really lowered the bar for "I laughed until tears streamed down my face."

I have bitten the cables
That were on the floorboards
And you were probably using
for power or data
Forgive me they were delicious
So loose and so coiled

[I'll leave now]
Here he is, sitting by a packaging tape that was just used to tape cables to the floor. Because of him.

being sappy and earnest and sincere is underrated. there are a million ways to show someone you love them and you should explore everyone of them, for friends and family and partners. do it for them, but do it for you, too. you'll feel great
FACT: you should be sappier with your friends and loved ones. there is no reason not to be.

Congrats to the Dodgers fans, and thanks to my buddy for dragging me into watching this one! Absolutely bonkers. The Jays played a fantastic series. (I'll never forget you, Fruit Tray.)

Now. Who's up for some basketball? Do we do that one here, too?

The third inning has been brought to you by this blue jay. If you look really closely, it's now twerking in the outfield.
as a bird artist, in honor of tonight’s game i have attempted to draw the gorgeous blue jay as accurately as possible. as always please let me know if you have any constructive criticism

There is no such thing as too much garlic.
A solid cooking rule to follow is to remember that when recipes say ‘add two cloves of garlic’, it’s always a misprint and what they actually mean is six.

I was prepared to say that at least UK baseball fans don't have to worry about Halloween shenannigans overlapping the World Series for them, but it seems like I didn't miss much in the first 2 innings.

Oh so this is how we're starting game 5, huh?

I'm still a fairly neutral party when it comes to these two teams, but I've gotta admit that I'm relieved the Jays tied up the series so they can go back to Toronto.

you are so far from what it means to be human, you have forgot the wild hunt for knowledge & stories, the electricity of creative synthesis, the slow, backwards, fatal fall into love. take fruit directly from the tree and devour it as though you know nothing but desire

Excellent bird luck today!

Great blue heron flew overhead, SIX white ibises in the parking lot (they were all in a tree together before a dog barked at them, which was even cooler), and then a male cardinal sat in my window for a while.

shout out to all the writers and artists who take forever to finish something. I get it, bro. I take a long time too. but your worth as a writer/artist isn't built upon production. so just keep striding it out. keep taking those steps. we each have our own race track. we'll get to the finish line

Accountability report on Writing The Thing (which, I must confess, is actually three things):

After reading That Book (phew- not sure how to distil my thoughts on that one into bleet format just yet), I decided to Do An Art as a creative palette cleanser. Just a silly little Halloween parody.
