it is incredibly telling and unfortunate that every single publication seems hell-bent on punishing WB for giving a successful black director money for an original movie, even if it's actually going over well. and that's something the industry should examine but of course they will not

it's important this go as viral as the original story for morale purposes if nothing else. despite the image they project these people are NOT unaccountable. consequences CAN be forced. focused anger and outrage MATTERS.

I’m just going to say it.

I respect the Trump Administration’s bold stance against the Heard and McDonald Islands. We can’t let them keep getting away with it!

@lujan.senate.gov your office phones aren’t picking up right now but I urge you to remain a hard no on the CR and Cloture. Don’t give in to Republican demands and keep fighting for New Mexicans and all non-billionaires. #nmtrue

The Kids Aren’t Alright by The Offspring was written when Dexter was 34. I loved the song as a kid but now as a person in my mid 30s it hits a looooot different

Even though public health in the United States is federalized to a certain extent, we need to build more robust systems to harness that power to be more resilient against disruptions like the current one happening with this administration

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

There is no bias in fact checking. It just happens that one side shares more disinformation and is thus suspended more.
🚨In Nature🚨
Meta is dropping fact-checking to avoid anti-conservative bias- but is there actually evidence of bias?
We this test empirically & find that conservatives

So suspension isn't necessarily evidence of bias www.nature.com/articles/s41...

A little optimism from Cory Doctorow about how maybe all of our worst fears about HHS run by RFK might be not come to pass because of government dysfunction. But I don’t like to underestimate Trump’s ability to let everyone be the worst version of themselves.

Health data quality research scientist: well you see not all data gaps are equal since some years and locations have low burden for disease and thus less need for data for that specific space-time combination
