So, here in Canader, our Prime Minister just boosted our quartely sales tax rebates to help lower income folks afford grocery increases. The one that comes in June/July will be 50% higher to get some extra munnies into pockets quickly.

I had to have a bubble test ultrasound today and I got an IV in my hand. It kind of hurt and I was joking with the nurse that I was going to have a Donald Trump hand. We laughed. But anyway her theory is that it’s from contrast die from MRIs.

It works! Went out in -18 C/ -1 F to feed the poor birbs and took a paper cup of boiling water and tossed the water into the air. Too windy to arc but it DID freeze and blow away!! Too cold to repeat it but fun!!

It works! Went out in -18 C/ -1 F to feed the poor birbs and took a paper cup of boiling water and tossed the water into the air. Too windy to arc but it DID freeze and blow away!! Too cold to repeat it but fun!!

So, the cat has the best idea for the day! We got over 8 inches, 20 cm, and still snowing heavy wet snow. Thank goodness too heavy to blow around! 132,000 folks currently no power in Scova Notia. All schools closed and most business, too. Only managed 1/2 hour shovelling so far.

A few years ago, there was a huge blizzard in the state of Iowa. The weather person wasn’t in for some reason, so they had the sports guy go to the tv station in the morning to fill in for weather during the blizzard.

This storm in eastern North America is sooo huge! Over the holidays, CBC has lumped NS, NB and PEI together for news and weather for vacations for some stations' teams. So weather guy has to try to report on 3 provinces-worth of this mess, all affected by the Atlantic Ocean! Struggling...
