“What should we do then?” the crowd asked.

John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”

I get the injury situation with Daniel Jones being a focus, but this defense has only held opponents under 20 points 3 times all year. Has our offense and the non-Bradley defense hid some trouble with our D this year? @jakearthurnfl.bsky.social @zachhicks2.bsky.social

Random thoughts on the upcoming challenges for young men:

1. Job markets are changing as companies look to replace entry level/high turnover jobs with AI.

2. Credit card debt is skyrocketing after COVID related stimulus money helped some recover.

3. Online gambling is an epidemic.

I wonder if @zachhicks2.bsky.social and @jakearthurnfl.bsky.social have looked at how hard it is to add a top flight CB through free agency. I don’t love giving up 2 firsts, but #1 corners don’t often get to market without big Qs (Ward may have been one) and R1 26-32 isn’t likely to find one.

A Christianity that is known for its cruelty is a Christianity that no longer knows Christ.

It’s not lost on me that in Daniel 4, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar that he can avoid the fate of his dream by practicing righteousness and showing mercy to the oppressed. It’s almost like God expects those in power to use that power to care for the un-cared for. #bible

I don't know who needs to hear this, but ... you can never find Christ through Caesar. Christ is found on a shameful Cross, its bloody wood planted in a garbage dump betwixt two thieves. He is found among the hurting, outcast, and sick ... not playing with Caesar in a throne-room.

Chris Tomlin & and the Christian singers created a connection between well-known & beloved worship songs & the political agenda of Charlie Kirk. Such worshipwashing of Kirk’s ugly politics is hurtful to the Christian witness.

This is perhaps the take that I agree most closely with though I understand that not all agree and that is okay. The unqualified praise of Kirk happened in our own church and it was a clarifying moment for our family. What do we believe our Christian witness should be?
Charlie Kirk said some good things, and bad things, did some good things and some bad. Let's be careful who we elevate. Can we be discerning of both? From one of the premier New Testament scholars of our day. Nijay K Gupta of Northern Seminary . nijaykgupta.substack.com/p/if-you-are...

@coachbennett.bsky.social The running world lost a wonderful coach this past week with the passing of Al Carius. His mantra of "Run for fun and personal bests" reminds me of much of your own messaging.

The verse that got us through the worst time of our life:

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you (1 Peter 5:10).

Our favorite word in there: “himself.”

Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

Secularism isn’t what’s driving people away from Christianity.

What’s driving people away from Christianity are those who claim to follow Jesus, but completely ignore his teachings and use his name instead to amass wealth and political power.
