Fantastic news for leaseholders as ground rents capped at £250!

The South West has 444,733 leasehold properties - residents will now be able to benefit from stronger rights and lower ground rents.

With new leasehold flats banned this marks the beginning of the end of the feudal leasehold system.

Holocaust Memorial Day offers us an opportunity to reflect on the millions who were murdered for no other reason than who they were.

We must learn from their loss and work every day to build a better, brighter, and more just world, and remember those that were so unfairly taken.

Clean power is the route to energy security, jobs and billpayers protected from volatile fossil fuel markets.

It is an opportunity for all of Europe, and Britain is doubling down:
OPINION: By accelerating our drive to clean energy, today’s North Sea Summit will be fundamental in delivering the energy security and prosperity Europe desperately needs.
Miliband and Jørgensen: Clean energy is Europe’s only route to security and prosperity

Victims *must* be at the heart of the Service Justice System and we are strengthening protections and improving accountability to do just that in our Armed Forces Bill.

This is a no-fail mission for me.

Labour Government to end cancer care postcode lottery for rural and coastal areas with new, targeted, training places.

I still hear far too many stories from my constituents about inadequate access to basic care, and this is something we are working hard to turn around.

January has been an absolutely bonkers month for constituents' casework, with 1000 cases created already, just three weeks in. Top issues have been the WASPI campaign and a social media ban.

Thanks to all my constituents who have reached out. Please get in touch at noah.law.mp@parliament.uk.

Thrilled that the Government has launched our much-awaited Warm Homes Plan, which will:

• Help tackle the affordability crisis
• Lifting up to 1 million families out of fuel poverty
• Deliver new rights for tenants

For millions, this plan will provide energy security and lower bills for good.

I’ve written to the PM to call for social media to be banned for under 16s. Social media adds little to no value to a childhood. It is damaging the wellbeing and development of future generations.

Thanks to the work of the Ryan's Law Campaign, Government has committed to tougher action on hit-and-run drivers that don't stop, as part of the new Road Safety Strategy 2026.

Government is consulting on strengthening motoring offences, which can be found here:

Phenomenal progress on clean energy from DESNZ⚡️
We’ve just secured the largest amount of offshore wind in any auction ever in Britain - enough to power the equivalent of 12 million homes.

In Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 the first offshore wind project in three years has been successful - a landmark moment demonstrating our commitment to the whole of the UK.

Delighted to, alongside @perranmoonmp.bsky.social, bring local Cornish businesses to No.10 to discuss the importance and potential of the critical minerals industry in Cornwall.

By 2035, it’ll be a £1billion industry providing thousands of new local jobs both directly and in related supply chains.

Storm Goretti has left many without access to broadband, internet, or rail for four days. This is completely unacceptable.

The Government has committed to improve infrastructure resilience in Cornwall, and providers must work with Government to get the remaining infrastructure back online ASAP.
