Strikes under the last Government cost the NHS nearly £3bn and far more to the wider economy. By last July it was clear the balance had snapped - the NHS needed real investment to keep people healthy, productive and driving Britain’s growth.

Opposition Day Debates are a vital part of the Parliamentary process & often raise timely, pertinent questions, but don't always offer robust (or fully-funded) solutions.

If there're measures to bring down bills in the budget, they will be fully-funded, not paid for by the magic money tree.

When I was elected, I pledged to revitalise our towns.

In Newquay and across mid-Cornwall, small, independent businesses are the heart of our high streets – and business rates reform cannot come soon enough.

Yesterday, I asked the Government about safeguarding our cyber defences.

With ever evolving threats – from Russian state-linked attacks to disinformation campaigns run through platforms like Musk’s X – we must step up support for the technologies, skills and partnerships that keep the UK secure.

Increasing failure to adopt roads, green spaces and drainage on new estates – leaving people paying double to private companies and through council tax for maintenance of the public realm.
