Somewhat buried in all the news but this may be the most important news story of this week.
An extraordinary new policy from the Defense Department that equates basic reporting methods to criminal activity has prompted a revolt among Pentagon journalists that could leave the nation's largest agency and the world's largest military without a press corps.
'Without precedent': Virtually all news outlets reject restrictive Pentagon press policy
The policy would force news organizations to refrain from publishing material not approved by the military. Media lawyers say it violates the 1st Amendment.

I spent 10 minutes outside today and it was almost too much.🥵 Remember in these days of excessive heat to be careful outside. Know the signs of heat exhaustion and stroke, and be sure to check on the vulnerable members of your community.
