It really cannot be emphasized enough that the Holocaust was modeled after the American campaign to displace and exterminate Indigenous people. This country drew up that blueprint.
Fascism isn’t new to the US. It’s always been here. It’s built into this country‘s DNA. Bigotry is our primary export. We just quantified and qualified it under the false title of ”freedom” because that’s what the masses here want & what (yht) ppl with guns & bibles as their personality like to hear
No kidding. I remember when our local government wanted record stores to track names of everyone buying metal records. (Maybe rap too and I’ve just forgotten?)
(Why do I remember this? A good friend of mine owned a record store, and as a new librarian I had some strong opinions, and ideas.)

Also like, idk if this sentiment is validating to anyone, but this woman lived through the Great Depression and WWII and still said 2025 was one of the worst years she’s experienced.
Well… 2026 is going to be a pretty rough year I think.
Called my grandmother to wish her a happy new year and she is… not well. She’s 93 and feeling it. I lost my parents years ago and she’s my only close family connection. I have a brother but we aren’t on great terms.
