The recognition of what I propose we call “enemy feminism” is also liberating, because it means we can skip the stage of “calling in” people who are plainly more interested in upholding a version of patriarchy that includes them in its upper ranks than destroying it.

I'm not really under much of an illusion that the rules-based international order hasn't always really been what 'western nations find most in their self-interest, but with bureaucracy', but also, this alternative is not better.

from someone who was in school for the beginning of the "war on terror," please. please please please. talk to teenagers in your life about not joining the us military. about not letting themselves be groomed by recruiters in schools. they're going to want soldiers, and they always start young.

Quite often the people we have to acknowledge as bad before we're allowed to say a western action is wrong, is never nearly as bad as the west makes out, and nowhere near as criminal and bad as the West itself lol

Where are our levers of power here? The US is not omnipotent. I feel quite strongly that we have to make it a pariah on the world stage like Russia has become. Otherwise they'll just start taking people.

We've heard Vance talk shit about left-wing parties in Europe as a threat to the US. Are we going to see enforced regime change here too? Is the US going to abduct any politician who's insufficiently deferential to Trump anywhere in the world?
