I cannot overemphasize that Marjorie Taylor Greene, Carlson, and Fuentes see a 2028 path to victory that involves building an isolationist populist coalition that traffics heavily in antisemitism and exploits existing negative sentiment against Israel.

I said in 2020 that Dems needed to spend the Biden Admin Trump-proofing the government, enshrining traditions into laws, clawing back executive power. They did not do so. Now we see what happens as a result. But I have no faith in their willingness to guard against authoritarianism in the future.
Something the US needs to accept too is that without a large-scale correction imposing consequences on a large number of people, the crisis of governance here will continue indefinitely
