I hope everyone that said otherwise is paying attention to the fact that nailing Trump and his allies on their hypocrisy did have an impact and is worth doing. "They don't care that they're hypocrites" of course THEY don't, but other people do.

I mean, a lot of this is quite directly a moral panic about social media apparently turning teenagers trans, if you dig into who's funding this push and what they're like.
Not the last word on teens and social media, but massively more rigorous than the sloppy work Jonathan Haidt has peddled. No one should ever listen to him on anything, let alone base legislation on his claims.
