I read the “SAVE Act” (the GOP’s new voter suppression bill) so you don’t have to. This is my one page summary. Jesus it’s bad. 1/

Listen. Caller is a 3x Trump voter from New Mexico oil country. Trump is losing red supporters in the Permian. This guy is disgusted and enraged. I'm guessing Eddy or Lea county from the accent and issues mentioned - that is +50% to +%60 Trump country.
Three-time Trump voter: I'm looking at this awful picture of the Obamas. What an embarrassment to our country. He is not worthy of the presidency. He takes bribes blatantly, and now he's being a racist blatantly. He's pathetic as a president, and I want to apologize for supporting this rotten man.

Crosby Kemper III, a lifelong conservative Republican appointed by Trump to lead the agency in 2019: called the [President’s Executive] orders “nonsense” and the grant guidelines “horrific.” “It’s clear the administration wants a whitewashed story, if you’ll pardon the pun there. And that’s wrong.”
NEW: The Institute of Museum and Library Services is now accepting applications for its 2026 grant cycle.

But this time, it has unusually specific criteria: It “particularly welcomes” projects that align with President Donald Trump’s vision for America.
Grant Guidelines for Libraries and Museums Take “Chilling” Political Turn Under Trump
Former Institute of Museum and Library Services leaders from both political parties expressed concern that the new funding guidelines could encourage a more constrained or distorted view of American h...

#NMGov Michelle Lujan Grisham has now signed the Immigrant Safety Act into law www.koat.com/article/new-...

The three House Dems who voted against it all sit in seats that went Harris+14 or better. The candidate filing deadline for the Democratic primary is March 17.
A bill banning ICE from setting up detention centers in New Mexico has cleared the legislature, and Dem Gov. Michelle Lujan has said she'll sign it. But three Dems in the state House voted against it. From @palabrasdeabajo.bsky.social www.elpasotimes.com/story/news/i...

Anyone with, say, an Hispanic surname and a first name that is not unique, understand you may be fighting the rest of your life to reinstate your rights following voter purges based on name matches with non-citizens.
😳 Musk’s “DOGE” overhauled the The Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (“SAVE”) program,” which Trump & MAGA want states to use to PURGE supposed noncitizens from the VOTER ROLLS under the GOP’s proposed “SAVE Act”.

Experts warn that “SAVE” isn’t accurate enough for this. WTH?!!! 1/

Ah, the legal case for why some racist washout with a Punisher sticker on his truck can "authorize" entry into someone's home. Fair chance asylum seekers fled their homes due to threat by thugs brandishing assault weapons while wearing masks, hiding their identity, and wearing random tactical gear.
As far as I know, this is DHS's first effort to explain their position that I-205 forms allow entry into the home. They rely on the dicta in the 1960 Abel case (before Payton) and re-imagine the plurality opinion in Lucas as if it were the majority (and then overrely on it).

Wyden is Fin Cmmt. He worked with Heinrich investigating CIA bulk data collection. With Palantir data and DHS, shady AF voter data machinations, DOGE, AI etc. could be this. Or his work on financial investigations w/Epstein. Or WH fin corruption w/certain nations. Urgent + his areas + CIA's.

GOP's SAVE Act is about rigging 2026 election. It would require people to show citizenship papers on demand, it includes in essence a new poll tax like during Jim Crow and makes it harder for woman to vote. The SAVE Act is about ushering in the GOP's dream that only WHITE MEN can vote!

Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.

So, federal dollars can't go to places providing abortions and soon maybe hospitals that happen to provide gender affirming care... But federal dollars can go directly toward fed agencies using Grok the Porn-a-nator? And scads of money to SpaceX, owner of Mechahitler the CSAM Bot?

The goal was to ensure compliance with 2 of Trump's executive orders:

0% interest rates are too high for Theil (JD Vance's puppet master) and outright accelerationism for collapse of the global system. This fits the views of billionaire techbros and certain global industries that chaos holds EXTREME profit opportunities, democracy = friction, & autocrats are ownable.
Definitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.

Every story I read about the revocation of TPS for Haitians makes me shake with rage. I am no longer surprised at the cruelty of this regime, but it is deeply shameful that our country is doing this. This is simply ethnic cleansing.

Agree. Also, take a beat before saying ”their names sound like they are illegal.” Hispanic families have been in what is now the U.S. since the 1600s (colonizing a huge potion of the US). Most names like this in New Mexico have much longer local roots than Trump, Miller, etc. 1/

The alleged bodies of two girls buried at #ZorroRanch is stated as the result of rough sex. My thinking about bodies there was realizing scale-100s of abused girls and women who would age out of… the desires of Epstein and other rich and powerful men. Especially worrisome w/foreign women.
