simple truth is that they hate you. act accordingly in 2026.

let's keep fighting these monsters because no night has never ended before.
DHS now says it's aiming for 100 million deportations. In an amazing coincidence, there are 104 million Black and Hispanic people living in the U.S. right now.
wouldn't it be nice to have an opposition party?
If you want to know what people mean when they say Democrats are "controlled opposition," rather than whipping votes against ICE funding, Hakeem Jeffries struck a deal with Republicans to allow Democrats to feign outrage at ICE while still funding the spending package.

yep that's it for me today, i've been pretty snippy trying to spread immigration info the last couple of days which isn't the best but the state mandated violation of the 4th amendment did me in, be back later

Incredibly helpful rundown from Aaron here about how ICE has been formally instructed to act outside the bounds of the constitution
🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

the regime will link public health and immigration, and they don't want either

they also don't care that people will die because of this anti vax nonsense

I guess I just don't take what people living in other countries say about the U.S. personally. I live in the heart of empire. There's a lot to be pissed off at the U.S. about. I understand their anger.

as aaron explains below, if they have a reason or not is another legal issue

they can and clearly will stop and arrest whoever they want

do not think your papers of citizenship will save you

this is not to discourage but to caution
I keep emphasizing this point because I am worried that some US citizens who are doing rapid response may have the false belief that it is illegal for ICE/Border Patrol to arrest them, and out of this incorrect belief respond in ways that make it *more likely* they get arrested or brutalized.
Flatly wrong. No, it is not true that ICE only has jurisdiction over immigration issues and can’t arrest citizens. Immigration officers have authority to criminally arrest anyone for any “offense against the United States” (interfering with a federal officer would count) and any felony they witness.

forever tapping my sign
the amount of "oh so you are anti immigration" i've been seeing from self declared progressives when they are corrected is growing fast and it is worrying

and extremely annoying
the implication that if you say "this person didn't have a green card but a separate, different status" means you are on board with the renditions is quite the leap of logic

people are activated on this issue and at the same time could use some listening and learning before jumping to conclusions

people losing their minds over being corrected on topics they are not experts are exhausting good grief
this is terrible, true and doesn't mean the messenger is okay with the current policies

it's exhausting as a expectator already, can't imagine what's like to be on the receiving end

knowing who to be mad at is half if not all the battle

people that give out facts are not endorsing the bad stuff
doesn't matter your opinion is pro immigrants if your conspiracy mind is there just the same. the senior immigration fellow isn't saying stuff to protect the current adm

get a grippppp

real ids and ssn are not proof of citizenship

I-9 audits aren't and don't need warrants

ice can arrest us citizens

cbp has extra authority in the border but jurisdiction in the entire country

having papers won't save you remains my mantra at this time
i see that i will face the same issue forever, in different forms

first it was the visa/status

now it's the ask for a lawyer/am i being detained at border

no one will ever learn nuance of immigration rules I repeat daily
January 21, 2026 at 4:37 AM
that's not correct, here's a thread with a policy expert

bsky.app/profile/reic...
They do not. They have to have probable cause that you have violated immigration law. That is their jurisdiction
January 21, 2026 at 2:30 AM
yes they do, aaron has a thread what that means here:

Does ICE have any enforcement authority outside of immigration laws? If no, then what reasonable suspicion could they have to detain a U.S. citizen?

less than a year ago i was posting about how there still no exit checks
"When she tried to cross into Canada, Canadian border officials told her that her living arrangements meant she should be travelling on a work visa, not a tourist one. They sent her back to the US"

still no check points to leave the us, the land checks that are popping up now are abnormal

man the gestapo at logan just fucking sucks

they were pioneers on muslim ban 1.0

they were also snatching students and other visitors earlier last year

german green card got arrested there too
New— An American citizen boarding flight from Boston to Lisbon just now told me after showing boarding pass, every passenger stopped on jetway by two ICE agents demanding to take their photo. When passenger asked why, ICE threatened to detain them. If they said no photo, couldn't board/TBD detained.

Trump promised to deport 100 million people.

There are only 52 million foreign-born people in the US.

Only 14 million of them lack documentation.
German Jews were citizens of Germany at the start of 1933. By the end of 1933, the Nazis had
removed citizenship from naturalized citizen Jews.

In 1935, all German Jews were fully stripped of their German citizenship.

Citizenship under dictatorships is contingent for targeted minorities.

The best time to fight was earlier. The next best time is right now. The longer they wait, the more power POTUS grabs & the more accustomed ppl become to the way he tells us it’s going to be now. You can’t build momentum unless you fight. You can’t even get ppl to observe what’s being stolen.

democrats had 2 if not 4 years to stop this regime from coming into power

but that didn't happen

this time though, if you really vote for us we will do something!!

they don't have the majority of votes and still can't get the party to vote against gestapo, even if it wouldn't work

wouldn't it be nice to have an opposition party against the regime?

just making it easier for the regime, they don't even need to worry about suppressing opponents that much
