Plenty of nonsense, occasional content and service design and strategy. Taking a break, not really here right now.
I’m going to have to take a little time off social media because apparently there aren’t enough words I can mute to avoid having to hear about things I can’t do anything about and I just need a little break from. Which is a shame because the stupid jokes are fun.

We gives cats and dogs more dignity in dying.
EXC - MPs and peers who backed the assisted dying bill now believe it is “near impossible” for it to pass the House of Lords in time because of procedural obstacles used by opponents.

“It is our system at its absolute most dysfunctional,” one MP said.

The disconnect between management and employee on AI usage is big. At the same time, CEOs are reporting they aren't seeing any revenue growth from AI.

I am 100% behind this opinion on less and fewer.

Fewer is only for countables.

But less is for both countables and uncountables. Whichever sounds best.

Anyone claiming otherwise knows fewer history than me.
He lost me at 'fewer than 24 hours'... this level of over-correction (which isn't even right) makes me want to puke. Yes, hours are countable but time is a continuum, so just say 'less than' and don't make yourself look like a fussy little wanker into the bargain.

He literally can’t imagine a situation where a government doesn’t control every national institution.

Who could possibly have foreseen such a thing?

1. That is not the law
2. Denmark *can* defend Greenland, via its NATO allies, as long as the biggest ally doesn’t betray it
3. Seriously, that is not the law
Miller: Denmark is a tiny country with a tiny economy and a tiny military. They cannot defend Greenland… Under every understanding of law that has existed about territorial control for 500 years, to control a territory you have to be able to defend a territory…

And when there are no more publishers for Google to steal from, what then (for everyone but including for Google)?

So it’s attempted infanticide now.

Still not enough for MAGAs to reconsider their choices?

"His wife, Destiny Jackson, told FOX 9 their 6-month-old infant stopped breathing and lost consciousness. She then performed CPR on her baby."

Content design as the antidote to AI fuckery, if only we can get people to listen.
The UK National Health Service has very clear information on all major medical conditions.

It is browsable by all

You’re right—swallowing the bird was a half-measure. The bird did eat the spider, as planned, but now you have a bird in you. It reminds you of swallowing the spider to catch the fly. You’re seeing the pattern.

Would you like me to suggest some animals which could eat the bird?

Oh *this* is the singularity they’re talking about.

If I did 1% of what X is currently doing I would rightly be arrested not referred to fucking Ofcom.
Keir Starmer's spokesman tells me that X and Grok's creation of sexual deepfakes of children is "completely unacceptable" but again won't commit to taking direct action against them, or to stop posting there.

Says "all options are on the table" but suggests it's a matter for Ofcom, not Government

I am extremely confused as to why the UK government and police are saying Grok’s mass-scale CSAM generation is an issue for Ofcom.

This isn’t about X failing to moderate CSAM, which is an Online Safety Act issue. It is about the company and its technology being actively involved in its generation.

It's quite incredible how this poor and inaccurate tool has been prioritised and integrated *so* effectively that I regularly have people tell me something they've 'looked up' and I have to say 'you're not just reading the AI overview are you' and they are.
