The fact that Durbin is collaborating with this regime while Chicagoans are having their neighborhoods invaded and their residents kidnapped and assaulted is sickening.

They don’t give a shit about their constituents yet these Democratic Senators on BlueSky keep mewling at us to “fight”.

I have to hand it to them, it's an incredible bit to publicly lose a game of chicken, admit that's what happened, and then spend the next day lecturing everyone about courage and tenacity

Language buried in this shutdown “deal” allows 8 GOP Senators who tried to throw a coup, sue to get millions in taxpayer money—because Jack Smith got their phone records. THEY TRIED TO THROW A COUP. There is no excuse for any Dem supporting this. This is absolutely wrong. Full stop—Period.

Ingraham: Where is that money coming from?

Trump: I don't know.

“If Schumer really wanted to use his considerable influence and leverage to stop this, he could have done that,” a senior Democratic Senate aide tells Zeteo. “He didn’t.”
Furious Liberals Call for Schumer to Step Aside, Senate Dems Mostly Quiet
After their shutdown surrender, liberal lawmakers are begging their base to unite behind them anyway – as Trumpland celebrates that their opposition is a bunch of 'p*ssies.'

My husband planned to retire in December. I'm not eligible for Medicare until Aug so I planned to get an Obamacare policy. I found one in Oct that was $800/month. Now it's $2000/month.

So now my husband isn't going to retire. I hate Trump & GOP so much.

And you'd be right. Speaker Johnson is now on TV taking credit and slamming democrats. The messaging is clear. We failed. What are we out in the streets for? Why are we writing reps who ignore us? I don't want anyone to hurt but now we all are going to hurt. We got nothing.

seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

After over nine months of Trump and his regime inflicting extreme pain and abuse on the country every day, eight Senate Democrats decided to remove one actual moment of leverage and end the government shutdown. Just pathetic.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.
