Recent estimates suggest that roughly 60% of the nation’s cats and dogs are obese, and hundreds of thousands have diabetes. GLP-1 drugs for pets could be the next frontier for the blockbuster weight loss and diabetes drugs.

Admire the extraordinary view of Pluto's nightside!

It stares back at us from the outer reaches of the Kuiper Belt in a view we’ll never forget.

That explains those funny colours
"Remarkably, the bacterium that makes methylenomycin A and pre-methylenomycin C lactone -- Streptomyces coelicolor -- is a model antibiotic-producing species that's been studied extensively since the 1950s. Finding a new antibiotic in such a familiar organism was a real surprise." 🧪
British and Australian chemists have discovered a powerful new antibiotic called pre-methylenomycin C lactone, hiding in a well-known soil bacterium. This molecule kills drug-resistant bacteria without triggering resistance. buff.ly/YlXaONo

What appears to be a single Borg-like #perovskite crystal is an intergrowth of repetitively “twinned” crystals that have formed striations and very complex faces. How? See comment. Photo from Mindat-link in ALT.

There actually is a Harvard in Florida (Harvard
Florida 32619) but no one lives there😂
Idiot proclaiming no vaccines for children in Florida is…a Harvard grad?

Gotta say, too many Harvard grads are seriously embarrassing to the notion that Harvard is a “good school”.
Anti- vax promoter of dangerous health misinformation, Florida Surgeon General Joe Ladapo, a disciple of charlatan RFK Jr, gleefully reports that Florida will end all mandates to vaccinating children -a public health calamity in the making!
Note to Harvard:Your degrees are on his wall. Do something!

This is a flying spaghetti monster (seriously), but you can call it Bathyphysa conifera. Apparently they are about as smart as a stupid dog (or cat), which places them neck and neck with some humans I know. It's Thursday people! I digress.
