Hello my friends! Today I have a new painting featured on Every Day Original. I'm super excited as I've been a fan for years. This piece is called "This Cosmic Business", I'm really happy with how it came out. Please hop on over if you have the chance.

These Daiso watercolors from my recent Daiso haul look so aesthetic, but the question remains

How do they handle?

Ok, maybe I spend all year thinking about the Renaissance Festival. I just really like gentle fantasy and tiny people, and the Ren Faire allows me to indulge.

Suggesting unhinged posting as a means of attracting an audience to an ADHD person is well intentioned but as someone who has tried that

It's like the advice to 'be myself'

Yall don't want me at my no pants, surrounded by art supplies, a rat in my hair (RIP Basil ;;_;;), doomscrolling social media

Hey disabled friends! Ever since the pandemic, my ability to do conventions and outdoor shows has really plummeted. I have Sjogren's and ADHD. Do yall have any advice on tents/setup/self care that can be used at shows (as an artist and vendor) that wont scare customers off?

Got two tube based watercolor reviews underway today- one for Amazon Basics watercolors, and one for Daiso watercolors, and came up with a bunch of thumbnail sketches for illustrations.

New blog post is up on my Patreon, and set to public!

I talk about losing Basil (TW: pet death, but not graphic), the Louisiana Book Festival, and share some art.

I only go to the Louisiana Renaissance Festival one time per season, but I look forward to it all year long.

I'm super excited to eat some delicious beignets at the #beignetfest this Saturday.

Doing art supply reviews is just an excuse to share my art supply special interest with others and find community, bc lord knows normies will talk Harry Potter for three hours but won't talk about art supplies for 3 min. (Ps Redwall is better and Dear America was top tier)

I just got my Faire acceptance!

I would love some inspiration from other small makers on how to set up my shop, would you mind sharing your links?

Recommend creators I should be watching on Nebula please! I like historical fashion and culture, science, and arts. I already added Knowing Better and Lindsay Ellis.

I've been thinking on this for a while, and instead of a holiday season sale, Bonedust Press will instead dedicate 10% of all direct sales to the San Diego Food Bank.

Times are tough and since I have to do the marketing song and dance anyway, I'd like to accomplish a little good with it.
#booksky
Shop small for the holidays, support independent publishing, and do some good!

From now until Dec. 31, we will donate 10% of every single direct sale from our site to local food banks.

Treat yourself to our debut title, The Traitor & The Wretch, or gift it to a friend!

Yesterday we were able to hit two pop up events in New Orleans- one hosted at Miette and full of really cute vendors, and one at St Coffee that had both cute vendors and cool vendors!

Ok, it may not be October or even Halloween, but I inked and stretched this piece in September and then October punched me in the face. Since watercolor paper spoils, I decided to go ahead and paint it, so that I could share it next year when it's timely.

I used to sell a lot of stickers in person at shows, but I stopped making and bringing them because with stickers on the table, people weren't buying prints or books, and I'd lose money even though I sold all day long.

I love teaching zine classes because it's an excuse to pull out a few awesome examples and introduce new people to self and small publishing.

A toast to art teachers who push back against the use of Gen AI, who teach basic drawing skills, who foster a love of all arts, who encourage students to do, even if it looks kinda bad RN
