The Leonids produces some of the fastest meteors each year, at 44 miles per second, with bright, long tails. The shower reaches its peaks Sunday night into Monday morning, or Nov. 16 to 17.

The moon is far from full this weekend, which could mean good fireball viewing for night sky watchers.

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

Wow! The body is so complex. It makes me think that depression can often be a safety mechanism: Save energy when you do not have it or when you are not ready to fight.

I recently learned too that depression can be alleviated by fermented food: reuteri yoghurt, kimchi and other probiotics.
TIL that blood platelets have serotonin receptors, which is why anemia can mimic depression symptoms and that is absolutely fucking fascinating.
