The are places we should experiment more with getting consumer choice and market forces involved in healthcare. But this wouldn't be our first try at it. The High Deductible Health Plan and the Healthcare Savings Account are old enough to drink. They have not solved health are prices.

Five bucks to the first reporter to say “Hey, you know what, Mr. President? Go fuck yourself.”
Trump in response to an Epstein question: "ABC, your company, your crappy company is one of the perpetrators. I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong. And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should take a look at that."

There's a lot of very good reasons to be angry about how insurance works (arcane rules, too much burden on end-user research) but also in my experience people get super mad it isn't magic sky money

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

Senate Democratic Minority Leader Schumer’s decision not to endorse Zohran Mamdani in the NYC mayoral race “was driven in large part…by his self-conception as a guardian of Israel, something he considers a core part of his personal and political identity.”

The ideal Chotiner victim, coincidentally, believes that this describes them perfectly.

Over the past week, the president said the DOJ should pay him a quarter billion dollars, bulldozed half the White House to build himself a gaudy ballroom, bragged about murdering civilians in international waters, pardoned some more criminals, directed federal prosecutors to indict his opponents ...

Never before in American history has one state's military force been deployed in another state over its objection.

I say never because the Civil War involved states whose governments legally ceased to exist, their offices vacated by constructive resignation, with no legitimate governors to object.

Easy messaging win for Dems, "you can't have [good thing] because Trump is spending $20B to subsidize the failures of some libertarian clown abroad."

And, no, Dems shouldn't support it because it's "foreign aid." It's a right-wing clown bailout. Supporting it trivializes and undermines foreign aid.
US Readies $20 Billion Rescue to Help Milei Win in Argentina
The US plans to extend a $20 billion swap line to Argentina and is ready to buy the country’s foreign bonds, providing much-needed financial support to President Javier Milei as he tries to regain investor confidence and stem a run on the peso.
